Defining the Role- Part II

Rule: Appearance is of the utmost importance to a gentleman.

A gentleman-in-training must present himself in a manner that is pleasing to the senses of scent and sight. In doing so he removes all grime, maintains all hair, and perfumes all over. A gentleman must be well shaved with ironed clothes. The cleanliness of a gentleman's shoes  reflects highly on his dedication to the art of being a gentleman. While some beasts might present the façade of gentleman-like dress, they will never attain the level of gentleman shoe cleanliness until becoming a gentleman themselves. The reward for such appearance is the privilege to be in the company of ladies.

Areas most overlooked: breath, ears, cuticles, & shoes.
